DRY NEEDLING

Pinpointing your pain for better recovery

Kelly Gaiotti PT, DPT, OCS is certified in Dry Needling by Masters in Dry Needling DN level 1 course and excited to offer this service to her patients.

Dry Needling is a highly effective form of physical therapy for the treatment of a multitude of musculoskeletal and neuromuscular conditions. Though it utilizes the same kind of needles, it is NOT Acupuncture (traditional Chinese medicine). Instead, dry needling  is based on neuro-anatomy and modern scientific study of the musculoskeletal and neuromuscular systems.

Dry Needling is performed by inserting a very fine filament needle through the skin and into the deeper tissues that are considered trigger points to your pain. It works by causing a micro lesion within the pathological tissue thus breaking up shortened tissues, inhibiting a reflex arc from the nervous system to the tissue, normalizing the inflammatory response, and centrally mediating the pain. This mechanical and neuromuscular effect provides an environment that enhances the body’s ability to heal which ultimately reduces pain. Free free to discuss if dry needling will be beneficial in treatment of your condition at your initial evaluation or next appointment.

At this time, dry needling is not covered by insurance. However, we offer this as a cash pay service to compliment your current treatment plan and offered only to current and active patients.

Contact us to inquire about pricing and scheduling an initial evaluation.

Safe Brain. Strong Future.

Our Safe Sport Concussion Rehabilitation Program combines a unique evaluation process that can include screening the patient's Orthopedic, Neurologic, and Vestibular Systems.

Every child and concussion is unique, and so should their rehabilitation and care provided.

As a Mom of 2 Young Multi-Sport Athletes, she understands how important your athlete is to you.

We work with your child's Pediatrician/PCP, Specialist, Athletic Trainer, Coaches, and their School to help return your child to their activities safely. Symptoms may include headache, neck pain, balance impairments, dizziness/vertigo, sleep disturbances, and difficulty with concentration or memory.

Dr. Kelly Gaiotti has 16+ years experience treating mild to severe Traumatic Brain Injuries in children and adults with special interest in Post-Concussion Syndrome (PCS). I am so grateful for the caring, professional and systematic care Kelly gave me after each of my shoulder replacements! I appreciated her explaining why I could not do twice as many exercises as I wanted when we first began my physical therapy. We all are over achievers desperately wanting to get back to normal as soon as possible.  Kelly carefully explained the process of healing and rebuilding, muscles, tendons and ligaments and the need for systematic and timely exercises ensuring the results we both expect.  Being able to relate and understand her plan gave me realistic expectations and goals for my recovery. I am thrilled to report I have regained 98% range of motion back in each shoulder!
